Trends and wavelet correlation analysis of sea level changes in the China Seas and the global area from satellite altimetry

sea level anomaly data,spanning from 1993 to 2005,in the China Seas(the Yellow Sea,the East-China Sea and the South-China Sea) and in global area derived from multi-satellite altimetry missions is used to deduce the linear trends.The results shows that the trends of the Yellow Sea,the East-China Sea and the South-China Sea are 5.05mm/a,4.8mm/a,4.27mm/a respectively,these values are larger than that of the global(2.66mm/a).The cross-wavelet spectrum and wavelet coherency analysis of the sea level anomaly in the China Seas and in global area show that the strongest common power exist at annual periods,while the phases are different greatly,the coherency of short periods is unobvious.
