Computation of gravity vertical gradient in gravity reduction of gravity-aided inertial navigation system

It is known that gravity-aided inertial navigation technology makes use of geophysical information called gravity to aid inertial navigation system of underwater vehicle. For realizing gravity matching between outputs of gravity sensor and information of gravity database, the first ste Pis to reduce the two kinds of data to a unified plane. The paper analyses methods of calculation of gravity vertical gradient in gravity reduction, also discusses the effect of different areas for numerical integration on the accuracy of the vertical gradient of gravity disturbance. It concludes that vertical gradient of gravity disturbance could be replaced by gravity anomaly.
