Research on QTM based data structure serving for identification of map conflicts

The identification of map conflicts is one of the difficult problems in map generalization.In the paper we analyzes the characters of Octahedral Quaternary Triangular Mesh(QTM) for map generalization.Then we propose a strategy with three-level detection for graphic conflicts,and design a specific data structure serving for graphic conflict detections based on QTM.
