The summarization of soil moisture remote sensing inspecting and the application prospect in Xinjiang

The soil humidity plays a very important role in global water circulation motion,it is a key parameter in hydrology,weather and agriculture researches,and it has attracts many attentions national and international.Soil humidity monitoring with visible light,infrared,thermal infrared,microwave remote sensing has nearly 40 years history at abroad.With the development of technology,a stereoscopic dry remote sensing monitoring pattern of the ground,aviation,aerospace,many stars has been established.The methods of remote sensing monitoring soil humidity mainly include the microwave remote sensing,thermal infrared remote sensing,even vegetation index method,vegetation supply water index method and crop shortage water index method.Based on the introduction of existed methods,the principle,concrete suitable field as well as the progress in the research have been described and compared in this paper.In addition,aimed at the specific situation of Xinjiang,it concludes that soil moisture monitoring by Modis image is an available method.
