Research and implementation of refined GPS stochastic model based on best invariant quadratic unbiased estimation algorithm

Equal-weight stochastic model is now widely used in GPS baseline solution.However,the accuracy and reliability of GPS positioning results will be degraded under complicated observing circumstances using such simplified stochastic model.Based on the theory of estimation of variance-covariance components,an iterative algorithm of Best Invariant Quadratic Unbiased Estimation and its implementation are proposed to refine the GPS stochastic model.Test results indicate that the proposed algorithm can more properly determine the variance-covariance matrix of GPS double-differenced observations comparing with the simplified equal-weight stochastic model.And the reliability of ambiguity resolution and accuracy of GPS baseline components are also improved effectively.
