Comprehensive report on development of 2012-2013 surveying and mapping

A series of important breakthroughs achieved in the technologies such as navigation and positioning technology,remote sensing,geographic information systems,information technology,network technology,had a profound impact on the development of surveying and mapping.The world advanced technology of surveying and mapping represented by spatial positioning,satellite remote sensing,geospatial information systems etc.was advancing rapidly.The development of surveying,mapping and geoinformation technology in China is entering the key period of comprehensive construction of Digital China and Smart China.Combined with several new branches of surveying and mapping as well as China's important projects,this report described the main advances in the field of surveying,mapping and geoinformation obtained in 2013which include Geodesy and GNSS,Photogrammetry and Romote Sensing,Cartography and Geographical Information Engineering,Underground Space Engineering and Mine Surveying,Marine Geodesy and Cartography,Land and Engineering Survey.
