1 HE HYDROGEN ADSORPTION AND TEMPERATURE PROGRAMMED DES ORPTION ON PLATINUM-ALUMINA AND PLATINUM-TIN-ALUMINA

Highly dispersed Pt-Sn-Al2O3 catalysts have been characterized by hydrogen adsorption isobar and temperature programmed desorption. It is evident that there exist a large number of strong adsorption sites on the surface of the Pt-Sn catalyst prepared by complex method. The adsorption behavior for hydrogen of Pt-Sn catalyst prepared by conventional impregnation method is similar to that of Pt-Al2O3, the same continuous desorption spectra were observed in the range of 0-500℃. These results suggest that the interaction between platinum and tin in the catalyst prepared by complex method is stronger.
