The chemical adsorption of H2, CO, O2 on reduced NiO/Al2O3, WO3/A12O3 and NiO-WO3/Al2O3 catalysts has been studied by volumetric measurement.The adsorption isotherms revealed that the saturation adsorption of H2, CO and O4.was achieved at a pressure higher than 4 kPa.It was always seen that on all the catalysts the uptake of CO was smaller than that of O2, but larger than that of H2.According to the uptake on per gram NiO and WO3, it was found that NiO/Al2O3 was easier to be reduced than pure NiO,whereas WO3/Al2O3 was more difficult to be reduced than pure WO3 implying that an interaction occurred between WO3 and A12O3 in WO3/AliO3 catalyst.From the results of H2, CO, O2 adsorption on NiO-WO3/Al2O3 catalyst, it was suggested that there was a chemical interaction between W and Ni species.
