An In/HZSM 5 catalyst prepared by the impregnation method exhibited novel activity for NO reduction with methane. Complete reduction of NO was obtained at 500℃. The presence of excess oxygen had little effect on the catalytic activity. This might be ascribed to the mechanism of the reaction. With an increase in space velocity, both NO and CH 4 conversion was slowly reduced. This showed the importance of a proper activation of methane in NO reduction.
