Preparation, Characterization and Application of Supported Polyimide-Zirconia Hybrid Membrane

Supported PI-ZrO 2 (PIpolyimide) hybrid membrane was prepared by sol-gel method on kieselguhr-mullite (K-M) ceramic membrane substrate with SiO 2 transition layer. The TG-DTA, IR, BET, SEM, gas permeability measurements and micro-reaction technology were employed to study the hybrid membrane. The hybrid membrane was satisfied with well morphology, tightly linked with transition layer. The thickness of hybrid membrane was about 1.2 μm, and the average pore diameter was about 3 nm. The permeation flux of the hybrid membrane for N 2 was more than 1.5 μmol/(m 2·Pa·s), and the separation coefficient for propene/propane was 1.5. Using Pd-Cu/MoSiO as a catalyst and the prepared membrane tube as a reactor, the conversion of propane was 11.5% and the selectivity for propene was 95.7% in the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane with carbon dioxide to propene at 400 ℃, which were relatively higher than the conventional catalytic reactor.
