Fang, Shu-nong; Fu, Yi-ln and Lin, Pei-yan(Department of Chemical Physics, University of Science und Technology of China, Hefei 230026)  
on selective electrode was used to determine in situ the ion exchange process for the preparation of Cu-ZSM-5, and the dehydratingprocess of the sample was studied by TPD-MS technique. It was foundthat Cu (OH)+ taking part in exchange is responsible for super exchangein somewhat high PH condition. At increasing temperature, oneCu (OH)+ may migrate and adjoin another Cu (OH)+, then, dehydrateto form [Cu-O-Cu]2+ bridge. The oxygen may be exiled from the copper oxygen bridge and Cu2+ is reduced intO Cu+. The process of migrating and dehydrating to form [Cu-O-Cu]2+ is reversible.
