PARTIAL OXIDATION OF METHANE TO SYNGAS IN MICROWAVE FIELD Ⅰ. Temperature Rising Behavior and Activity of Ni/La_2O_3 in Microwave Field

The temperature rising behavior of Ni/La 2O 3 catalysts with different Ni contents and the activity of 8%Ni/La 2O 3 catalyst for CH 4 partial oxidation to syngas under microwave irradiation have been studied. The results show that the highest temperature can be reached for 16%Ni/La 2O 3. Compared with the conventional heating mode, the temperature of the catalytic bed is much lower and there is a higher selectivity for CO under microwave irradiation.
