RESEARCH ON THE DRIFT IN THEORIENTATION OF GYRO-THEODOLITE

Based on the experimental data of five kinds of gyro--theodolite (GAK-1, TDJ-II, DJ6-T60, GI-1, TK-4), this paper researches into the drift problem in the mean value of vibration of the gyro. Through the analysis of drift curve and the statistical test for the significance of systimatic drift. some regularities in the drift of gyro--theodolite are found. From the test of gyro pre--suspension. some measures for diminishing and eliminating the influence of drift are proposed. Analysis of the main causes of drift indicates that the drift can be ascribed to the manipulation and the time-variable temperature effect which have impact on the inberent peculiarities of the gyro--theodolite. By making use of Euler equation. the various contributions of some factors to the drift are derived. these factors include the impulse moment of manual tracking, the change in the zero position of susp- ension tape. variation in source frequency. the failure of the grarity center of gyro and its certer to be on the same vertical line. and the initial momentum in putting down the gyro. In this way. the drift phenomenon of gyro has been explained by the combination of theoretical study and practice.
