OPTIMAL SPECTRAL COMBINATION SOLUTION WITHINTEGRAL KERNEL FOR THB DOWNWARDCONTINUATION OF SPACEBORNEGRAVITY GRADIOMETRICAL DATA

: Physical geodesy is confronted with a new problem of refining gravity field by means of satellite gradiometry both in theory and data processing technique. This paper discusses the method of optimal combinations of the disturbing potential spectrum com ponents with integral kernels. The method can take advantage of some combinations of 5 independent gradient components measured by a full tensor gradiometer along with available ground gravimetric and altimetry data to determine regional gravity field. This solution is characterized by it's stability and least variance; it provides an alter native for downward continuation and reduction of the spaceborne gradiometry, which is coming on in the no distant future.
