ON THE INVBRSION OF DEFORMATION SURVEY DATA

: This paper deals with the basic method of the physical interpretation of deformation survey-the theory of the inversion of deformation survey data. The basic principle and the model of the inversion of discrete and continuous deformation survey data are presented first, followed by the solution of the inversion problem and three criteria for evaluating the quality of inversion problem. Through the analysis of the geometric model frf inversion problem, the cause of non-uniqueness of inversion results and the remedy for it are given. On this basis, the inversion of deformation survey data with prior information is propo sed. On the whole, it is a non-linear programming problem. The substantial forms of several constraints on the inversion problem with prior information are discussed. Because observations and information from neighboring disciplines can be combined in the model it is defined as the basic model of the fnrelrsibn of deformation survey. Finally, as a prac tical example of the non-linear inversion with prior information, the source parameters of the Tangshan Earthquake (1976) are inverted by the geodetic data.
