SEPARABILITY OF DEFORMATION MODELS

: Since the deformation model of an object may not be well defined a priori, a mo nitoring scheme must be so designed that several possible models can be efficiently sep arated in the stage of analysis of deformation measurements. Separability of different models has been derived by the authors. The method used is lucid and especially suit able for establishment of a- criterion in design of a monitoring scheme. An example is simulated to demonstrate the separability of different possible deformation models. The results are compared with that obtained using the Forstner approach.
