Study of Applying the Wavelet Theory to Map Data Processing

Some problems are analyzed and solved such as the graphic drifting and the boundary distortion which often occur while using compact supported wavelet transformation to the vector map data with finite length. Given practical example and experiment prove that the proposed methods are feasible and correct. All these make as a base for applying the wavelet theory to analyzing and processing map data.
