APPROXIMATIONS OF LOCAL COVARIANCE FUNCTIONS OF GRAVITY ANOMALY

In this paper,the local covariance functions of free-air gravity anomalies and heights arestatisticly computed from the measured gravity anomalies and densely (one point per 2 × 2and uniformly distributed in a region of China,and local covariance function of gravityanomaly is approximated from local covariance function of height by method of regressionanalysis. The statistic results show that the precisions of empiric formulas(6)and (7)are re-spectively ±17. 36mgal and ±4.85mgal.
