Study on Reservoir Earth Rock-Filled Dam Deformation Monitoring by MT-InSAR Technology

Interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR) technology could provide deformation-monitoring results with high spatial-temporal resolution and has the potential of monitoring dams' full lifecycle deformation. Ascending TerraSAR-X and descending COSMO-SkyMed data between July 2011 and June 2012 and multi-temporal InSAR(MT-InSAR)technology combing persistent scatterers(PS) and distributed scatterers(DS) are used to deal with the SAR images.This paper finds that the main dam of Chang lingpi reservoir has differential settlements during the first storing-up period. And it is possible to be related to the compaction of backfilled soil. The experimental results are validated with leveling data and show that the InSAR resultsare in consistent with the traditional survey and the results of this paper are of high reliability.
