Reinvestigation into the Tectonic Evolution of Bangong-Nujiang Structure

According to the formation where Jurassic reefs development, its variation rules and the contact relation between formations which contain reef and the lower strata, this article considers that its closure time is middle or late Jurassic (before the Samutluo Formation deposition), The growth of reefs represents the shallow sea deposit facies after Nujiang ocean basin closure.Research indicates that the middle section of the Bangong-Nujiang Suture goes through five stages in the process of its evolution, such as ocean basin rift (~P1) , nascent ocean basin and maturied ocean(T~J2), oceans subduct(J2~J3), remnant ocean basin (J2~J3)and ocean basin close(J3~K1).
