Study of Dual Induction Logging Resistivity Inversion and Its Application to Tuha Oil Field.

Resistivity inversion is an important environmental correction method for electrical logging curves. Inversion of dual induction logging measurements belongs to the category of electromagnetic inverse scattering in nonhomogeneous media. With 2D formation model the Numerical Mode Matching method (NMM) and the Distorted Born Iterative method (DBIM) are employed for forward modelling and inversion respectively. Then the invasion radius and the true formation resistivity for each layer are inverted from the dual induction curves. Both the numerical simulation and actual data processing results from Tuha Oilfield show that the methods presented in this paper are reliable and fast. So they have good prospects for petroleum exploration and development.
