Evaluating Porous Structure of Reservoir with MRIL Data.

As a new well logging technology, MRIL(Magnetic Resonance Imaging Logging)can not only provide effective porosity, permeability, irreducible water saturation and other parameters, but also distinguish movable fluid volume from irreducible one with T 2 cutoff, with which we are able to deeply study porous structure. Based on capillary pressure data from semi permeable clapboard, relationship between T 2 geometric average value and porous structure parameters can be obtained, and also a method to determine porous structure parameters be found by using MRIL data. Our research shows that T 2 distribution spectrum is closely related to porous structure. Meanwhile,according to core analysis data and MRIL data, we finally give the relation between ratio of permeability to porosity from conventional curves and porous structure parameters, which is very important in production.
