A New Inversion Method of LWD Electromagnetic Propagation Resistivity Logging. WLT, 2001, 25(4): 266-269 Electromagnetic propagation resistivity logging is the important method for LWD. Given in this paper is a new method which aims to improve the vertical resolution of wave propagation resistivity logging curves. Firstly, the boundary conditions are proposed to exactly identify the formation interface according to the actual logging curves. The forward modeling curves should agree with the actual curves at the points where information entropy gets extremum. Both the numerical simulation and actual applications show that the method presented in this paper can improve the vertical resolution of the wave propagation resistivity logging quickly and efficiently, enhancing the responses of the logging tools to thin beds.
