Classification of Coalbody Structure and Prediction of Coal Reservoir Permeability with Log Curves

Based on coalbody structures classified by log curves, coalbody structures of various mines in Huaibei and Huainan coal fields were divided into primary constructional coal-ruptuired coal, mortor coal and mylonitic coal utilizing cluster analysis method. In the light of the data of coalbed methane testing well, a methematical model between coal reservoir permeability and the accumulative percent of thickness of tectonic coal Ⅱ and Ⅲ is set up. With the development degree of tectonic coal Ⅱ and Ⅲ,coal reservoir permeability is consistently classified into high, medium and low. On the basis of the above, distributing characteristic of tectonic coal Ⅱ Ⅲ and low permeability are discussed, and the way is showed clearly for keeping away from the sections where coalbody structure is intensively broken up and coal reservoir is hardly changed.
