On the Investigation Characteristics Analysis of VIKIZ.

The investigation characteristics of VIKIZ (BHKH3 in Russian) has been analyzed by the numerical modeling. VIKIZ has highly vertical and radial resolution and offers array logging information that could be used to describe the resistivity radial distribution directly. For example, the low resistivity annulus is a typical case. VIKIZ provides phase shift measurements with high frequency and short coil separation between transmitter and receivers, so it has high resolution that could be used to distinguish thin bed , especially the thin sandshale interbeded formation.
