Causes Leading to Errors in Core Electricity Experiments and Their Corrections.

As an important approach to petrophysics research, core electricity experiments, mainly measuring the parameters of rock porosity, resistivity and saturation, can obtain 4 key parameters of Archie formula such as bond index m and saturation exponent n , etc. so to accurately calculate the formation oil-gas saturation. During this kind of experiment, it is difficult to accurately get parameter m and n, because the factors, including the experiment equipment, the condition and experimenters, etc. , often have an effect on the measurement result of the porosity, parameter, resistivity and water saturation. Hence, it is very necessary to establish a set of analysis standards and regulations for logging petrophysics experiments. Considering this, this paper, based on introducing the operation process of the petrophysics experiments, discusses many factors such as experiment equipment, condition and experimenters that influence measurement results, and analyses completely the reasons which cause errors during the rock electricity experiments, and points out the relevant correction methods. With this step, the measured data may reflect more petrophysics characteristics of local formation, and improve interpretation accuracy of formation oil-gas saturation by using the Archie formula.
