A Fast and Steady Hybrid Inversion Method for Electromagnetic Propagation Resistivity Log Data

The inversion method for the array electromagnetic propagation resistivity logging(EPRL) data with multi-parameter is more serious nonlinear and multi-value.Gauss-Newton Method(GNM) is one method for solving that problem,but its stability and accuracy depend highly on initial value.Differential Evolutionary Algorithm(DEA) can avoid the dependence effectively and has a good stability,but it is very time-consuming and less efficient.In this paper,a hybrid inversion method has been proposed,which is based on GNM and DEA: Using DEA to get a good initial guess,then using GNM to get the optimal point.Numerical examples show that this hybrid inversion method is a fast,steady and efficient method.
