Data Processing of Cased Hole Formation Resistivity Logging and Its Application

Based on analyzing principle of Cased Hole Formation Resistivity(CHFR) tool,several influence factors on the CHFR apparent resistivity are discussed,and then suggested are that the effect of casing collar,casing corrosion or perforation can be corrected with a 5-point smooth filtering,and that the effect of variable calibration coefficient of CHFR caused by factors other than the tool can be eliminated by calibrating the CHFR measurements in stable shale and water bearing layers with resistivity measurements of deep induction and/or deep laterolog in the same layers.The processed and interpreted results of the CHFR data of 4 wells in Qiuling Oilfield,Tuha,show an applicable prospect of the CHFR log in discovering nonproducing and/or missing oil-bearing zone,appraising the order of water flooding and the residual oil saturation of passed reservoir.
