Sensitivity Analysis of Multipole Acoustic Field to Reservoir Parameter with Biot Theoretical Model

The acoustic field in borehole excited by a multipole acoustic source is calculated with Biot theoretical model in which rock with pores saturated with gas/liquid is simulated by a diphase porous medium.Based on the calculation,relationship between reservoir parameters,such as porosity,permeability and fluid saturated,against phase velocity of the mode wave and attenuation of the wave is analyzed and shows that the attenuation of the mode waves is more sensitive to the formation pore than the phase velocity;comparison among attenuation coefficients of Stoneley wave,flexural wave and spiral wave shows that the higher the rank of multipole is,the higher the sensitivity of mode wave to formation pore will be.
