Experiment on Influence of Polymer Solution on Electric Character of Rock

In order to further understand influences of polymer on logging curves and to provide foundation of logging interpretation,influences of polymer on electric petrophysical properties are studied by electric petrophysical experiment aiming at sand reservoir.Cores for the experiment are sampled from a well in Gudao oilfield.The experiment analyzes electric character of the polymer solution and variety of the rock electric character before and after polymer flooding.The results indicate that anionic polymer solutions are same in electric character as common thin electrolyte;the salinity of water for confecting polymer solution obviously affects the resistivity of R0 in Archie equation;different salinity of the polymer solution has different influence on the Archie parameters,after polymer flooding,the a and b increase and m and n decrease gradually with increasing concentration of polymer solution occluded.
