Data Interpretation and Application of ЭКОС-31-7 Cased Hole Resistivity Logging Tool in Daqing Oilfield

To investigate the potential application of Russian ЭКОС-31-7 cased hole resistivity logging tool in Daqing oilfield,presented are the cement annulus and the bed thickness/surrounding bed influences on the measurement results with numerical simulation method based on the logging tool principle,providing the correction methods.A modified resistivity model in laminated and dispersed shaly sands containing conductivity mud is built on the basis of HB resistivity equation and parallel conductivity theory,and the formation water saturation is obtained by the dichotomy method.The applications of the four coring wells show that the log interpretation method is correct and their results are also reliable.Seven measured-wells obtaied the better increasing oil and reducing water content in actual production.Theoretical and experimental results show that Russian ЭКОС-31-7 tool can be used for remaining oil evaluation and producing status monitoring when the bed thickness is greater than 1.0 m,so it has better applications in Daqing oilfield.
