A Method for Identifying Low Resistivity Gas Zone with Characteristic Parameters

Zhang Songyang.  
Based on the response features of GR.CNL.AC.DEN and SP logs to shallow low resistivity gas zone in southern Songliao Basin, and combining geological and testing information, the characteristic parameters for identifying low resistivity gas zone are defined, which include reservoir exponent K,, gas zone exponent K2,pay zone exponent K3 and the integrated identifying function K. This method and procedures are used in shallow gas bearing intervals in southern Songliao Basin. The data processing results show that it has got good geological results.
