Caculating DC Electric Logging Response Using Fourier Hankel Transform

Potential distribution of DC electric logging which includes lateral log and azimuthal resistivity log satisfies Laplace equation. The successive approximation method (SAM) is employed to obtain the potential distribution on two dimensional meridian ellipse. The Fourier Hankel transform is utilized to realize the procedure. Two examples corresponding to vertical layered medium and radial layered medium are given respectively to illustrate the SAM.
