A Study on Bed Material at the Middle and Lower Ganjiang River

Based on analysis of sand samples from the river bed of the Middle and Lower Ganjiang, a bed material classification and its size distribution curve have been obtained. In this paper, the relationship between suspended and bed load movement and bed forms have also been analyzed in detail. The results indicate that the bed load sediment plays an important part in forming braided channel with stable islands at the middle and Lower Ganjiang.
