Experiment research on culvert aqueduct construction of ZhangheRiver in Water Transfer Project from South to North

Zhanghe river aqueduct is one of the main river?crossing constructions in the Middle Route of Water Transfer Project from South to North. For the safety of the project and optimization of the design, reinforced concrete emulation model experiments were done with a scale of 1∶6. Some key technologies are analyzed and discussed including the material performances, model design and construction, simulation of deadweight and water loading method. The simulations of construction and loading mode are expounded in focus. The strains and distortions of four cases are given and compared and some improvement suggestions are also put forward.
