Stress analysis of grouted FRP rod's pull?out behavior

ZHOU Hong?an,WANG Zhao (School of Civil and Architectural Engineering, Wuhan University,Wuhan 430072,China)  
The grouted FRP rods pull?out tests are introduced. According to the relationship of applied load and slip at loaded end, the stress and destructive machanism of the grouted FRP rods are analyzed. The study results show that: the shear of grout on FRP rods does not vary uniformly with the length of rod; the pull?out capacity of FRP rods depends not only on the bond stress but also on the mechanical interlocking force between the rod and grout; the pull?out capacity increases with the increasing of rods surface rough degree and the anchorage bonded length. The main destruction of grouted rods in situ happens in the interface of rods and grout, but some destruction occurs because of reaching limit strength of FRP rods themselves.
