Analysis of In-situ Stress Measurement and High Pressure Tunnel's Design Verification for Qingyuan Pumped Storage Plant

In order to evaluate the design scheme of the pressure tunnel of Qingyuan Pumped Storage Power Plant,the in-situ stress state at underground power house and pressure tunnel should be determined.Thus,a design scheme was obtained based on the vertical criterion.And then in-situ stress measurements by hydro-fracturing method and overcoring method were carried out.Also,the stress distribution in the whole rock mass including the major project locations was obtained through FEM regression analysis.Finally,on the basis of the minimum principles stress criterion,the requirement of resisting hydraulic fracturing is verified and the lining design scheme for the pressure tunnel is discussed.
