Fast Modeling of Large Terrain and Engineering Constructions

During the development of software system related to a three dimensional large-scale terrain and engineering construction,modeling,which includes terrain modeling and various hydraulic structures modeling,is a larger work-load of time-expending and manpower-consuming. In combination with the Middle Route Project of South-to -North Water Transfer,the paper presents the massive data preprocessing method,using CTS to make terrain,and using 3D Max and Multigen Creator to manufacture buildings. The result shows that these methods can conduct fast modeling and reduce workload.
