The Research and Its Appncation of a 2-D Unsteady Flow Mathematical Model in Estuarine Tidal Reaches

Dong Yaohua, Huang Yuling(Yangtze River Scientific Research Institute, Wuhan 430010)  
Based on SIMPLER algorithm, this paper establishes a set of 2-D unsteady flow mathemati-cal model in estuarine tidal reaches by using Langshan to Sihaoba river channel of Nantong reach in the estuary of the Yangtze river as an example. The calculation and its verification show that the calculated processes of tidal level and current fairly well coincide with field data, and the flow field of calculation is reasonable. By means of the mathematical model , the paper further carries Out calculationabout effects of the planned pier of Nantong Huayang Liquefied Natural Gas Co. Ltd on the river chan-nel and flood control nearby.
