Inquiry on a Formula for Calculating Critical Depth of Open-Channel Flow with Trapezoidal Cross-Section

Wang Zhengzhong(College of Water Conservancy,North Western Agricultural University,Yang Ling, Shanxi,712100)  
Based on the study results obtained by Chen Feiyong and shu Luping,this paper presents aformula for calculating critical depth of open-channel flow with trapezoidal cross-section and a rationaliteration factor.As the formula is used for direct calculation or a iteration is conducted,the maximumerror is less than5.9‰.
