Causal Study on Liquidity Excess of Commercial Banks

The problem of excessive liquidity of commercial bank arouses wide attention and research.From other point of view,basing on the income and cost,by analyzing amount of excess deposit reserve in central bank and trade-off within bank market,this paper draws the conclusion that the commercial bank in China is now still facing with the problem of excessive liquidity which appears obviously from the year of 2004.There are three factors contributing to excessive liquidity of commercial bank,they are gap of deposit to loan swift expanding,continuing surplus of balance of payments,and speeding velocity of currency.
