A COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATION OF THE REGIONAL WATER RESOURCE CARRYING CAPACITY ──Application of Main Component Analysis Method

Aiming at the subjective random problem of the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method inthe comprehensive evaluation, the paper adopts the Main Component Analysis Method to undertake comprehensive evaluation of the regional water resource carrying capacity. Firstly, each ofthe seven main factors, i. e. I regional irrigation rate, utilization rate of water resource, exploitation degree of water resource, water supply module, water requirement module, per capita waterrequirement quantity alld environment water use rate was analyzed. Then, according to the principle of the main component analysis method, we used new integrated minority indexes to integrate and simplify the seven primary indexes. The different contribution and Integrated responseof minority indexes in the process of water resource development were explored. Meanwhile, onthe basis of evaluation parameter classifying gltandard, we could obtain correspondent classifyingstandard of the main component to judge water resource carrying capacity by the use of the maincomponent equation. In view of the above, the water resource carrying capacity of every area wasjudged by the Main Component Analysis Method. Lastly, we took water resource statistics dataof the Pingba area as example, of which the results were compared with those of the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method. We prove further the science characteristic of the Main Cximponent Analysis Method. Therefore, it provides a decision -- making basis for regional water resource development.
