CLIMATIC PRODUCTIVITY AND AGRICULTURAL SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF HUBEI PROVINCE

Based on the estimation of the main crops′climatic productivity in Hubei province, the utilization levels of climatic productivity are analyzed. As confined by the natural and social conditions, the utilization levels of crops' climatic productivity are relatively low under the nowadays' state of field production. Take the middle rice, whose utilization rate is the highest among crops, as an example, its highest yield in history is only about half of its climatic productivity estimated. There is much potential of climatic productivity. Therefore, to enhance the development and use of agricultural climatic productivity so as to bring the climatic resource maximum effect into play is one of the most important factors that must be implemented. According to the analysis of the factors impacting on climatic productivity of the main crops, from the different points of view, such as: (1) raising solar utilization rate to increase the photosynthesis output, (2)rational utilization of the heat resource to adjust the crops distribution, and (3)preventing the natural disasters through improving the climatic ecological environment, some measurements are proposed in detail to raise the utilization rate of climatic resource so that the agricultural sustainable development could be realized. Finally, as a conclusion, several eco agricultural optimum models are discussed.
