STUDY ON THE CULTIVATION OF LESPEDEZA BlCOLOR FOR WATER-SOLL RESOURCES RESTORATION

Lespedeza bicolor on the eroded sterile soil is technically simple. This leguminousplant has the properties of anti-sterility,drought-resistance and frost-hardy with well-de-veloped root system and substantial biomass. Its branches and leaves could be used as ma-nure,forage and fuel.Compared with other kinds of brushes that plant has obvious supe-riority in its growth.After its branches and leaves are smashed up,it could be used toraise mushroom for saving of timber and deriving economic benefit.Water-soil losses canbe brought under control when the eroded sterile soil is planted with lespedeza bicolor,andquality of the soil is improved,to the benefit of water-soil resources restoration. So,thecultivation of this plant should be popularized in the eroded regions.
