STUDIES ON THE PROTECTION OF BIODIVERSITY OF PLANT ENDEMIC GENERA IN JIULING MUFU MOUNTAINS

Xie Guowen Wang Hongyan Lai Xiaorong (Jiangxi Agricultural University, Nanchang,330045) Tan Ceming (Jiujiang Botany Institute of Forest, Jiujiang,332100)
Jiuling Mufu mountains constitute one of the diversity centres of plant species (especially endemic) in East China, having 37 endemic genera (including 42 species) of Chinese seed plants. This paper deals with the species diversity, pattern of spatial distribution and floristic characteristics of Chinese endemic genera in Jiuling Mufu mountains, based on investigation and quantiative analysis. The relationships of endemic genera of Chinese seed plants in this erea with other important mountains in Jiangxi province and their important positions are discussed, and some practical countermeasures for protecting the biodiversity of endemic genera are presented.
