Expressions of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 associated with ischemia-reperfusion brain injury

By suming up the recent progress in studying the expressions of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 associated with ischemia-reperfusion brain injury, the authors in the paper argue that ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 are cell adhesion molecules in close relationship with ischemia-reperfusion brain injury which may to a different extent result in the expressive growth of ICAM-1 and VCAM-1 mainly via the path of NF-kB. The regulating mechanism and the clinical application of antibody need further research.
