Soil Fertility Conditions and Fertilization Measures of Alpine Vegetable Bases in Yichang City

In the paper,we analyzed soil fertility conditions of Yichang alpine vegetable bases.The results showed that,the soil acidity and alkalinity(pH value) of the investigated alpine vegetable bases in Yichang was suitable for the growth of vegetables,but their organic content was generally low.The soil was lack of nitrogen and phosphorus,and the potassium content was not equal and different base soil possessed great different potassium content.Some soil was lack or extremely lack of potassium,but some was rich in potassium.Fertilization measures for the Yichang alpine vegetable bases were as follows: applying lime to adjust the soil acidity,increasing application of organic manure fertilizers to enhance the formation of soil aggregate structure and microbial activity and improve the soil permeability,selective growing crops to increase soil fertility gradually,and using sand soil for soil improvement to improve the soil texture.
