Environmental geochemistry characteristics of heavy metals and depositional environment of Xiamen seas were investigated by means of content of heavy metals analysis, size analysis of surface sediments and by means of cluster analysis to the testing results. The results show that the big difference of depositional environment exists among the sea areas, different site of the same sea area. Content of heavy metals depends on the key enrichment components in each site, there were a rather large influence by provenance of separate element on separate site. It was found that the content of Zn, Cu, Pb, As, Cr in fine gravel and coarse sand may indicate their original value in the territory.
