A Study on Eiectroless Composite Ni-P-Cr_2O_3 Plating

The paper deals with the electroless composite Ni-P-Cr_2O_3, plating and double layer composite Ni-P/Ni-P-Cr_2O_3 plating technology. The composition of coatings, the effects of structure and heat treatment on hardness and wear performance were investigated. It was shown that the pH value of the bath had a profound effect on the quantity of deposited Cr_2O_3 and the wear resistance could be improved by appropriate heat treatment.
