Laser Cladding of Stellite and WFIC Series Cobalt Based Alloy Powder

CAO Qing, WU Zi-jian, PAN Lin  
An investigation was made on the four kinds of cobalt based alloy powder for laser cladding with TJ-HL-5000 CO2 laser. The effects of alloy elements on the cracking resistance behavior of the coating were studied and the comprehensive comparisons were discussed. The authors pointed out that the coatings cladded with WFLC-08 and WFLC-11 cobalt based alloy powder materials had the advantages both in cracking resistance and in wear resistance. Thus met the requirements of laser cladding.
